Wanting more than being just a number in the building industry, Rob Taylor and Jamie Spencer took a leap of faith in 2017. They both had the same vision; of a construction company where staff felt truly valued whilst turning their customers dreams into reality. Having grown up deep in the kinship of Cornish construction sites, Rob was determined that recruitment stayed local, providing an employment safety net for Cornish families. They aimed to have a modest 3-man team.
Finishing their first commercial project as JATA Construction was a turning point. With outstanding workmanship, rapt clients and a successful business model, the pair dared to dream bigger…
One of those tradesmen became crucial to the team, delivering plumbing and electrical services to JATA’s construction projects and in 2022, JATA Connections was born with Joe Woolhead at the helm. Then, after hearing about a young architectural hotshot, in 2023 they invited Daniel Miller into the fold, to head up JATA Designs, providing full architectural design services.
Rob is committed to building a safe environment for JATA’s tradespeople and Jamie takes great pride in seeing dedicated staff grow their careers with JATA’s support and guidance. The team now stands at more than 100 men and women in the JATA family.
With a new division in the South East, and projects being delivered across the UK, JATA continues to expand in line with Rob and Jamie’s growing aspirations. And with each and every new van that takes to the road, another member of the JATA family gets a chance to exceed his or her own dreams.
